The Buffalo Bills are gearing up for a season with sky-high expectations. With Josh Allen winning MVP, the return of the red helmet, the final season at Highmark Stadium, and even an HBO documentary following the team, it's a good time to be a fan of the Buffalo Bills.
However, with football inching closer but not quite here yet, it's also the time of the year for the latest Madden NFL football game. With the release of the game, there's always buzz around the NFL for players who felt disrespected, or players who feel as though they've finally earned their flowers.
Enter Reid Ferguson into the chat. Ferguson is the longest-tenured member of the Buffalo Bills and has been a captain for the team on more than one occasion. It's not every day that you see long-snappers in the NFL get some love, and Reid was quick to respond.
We’ll take it! Room to grow. Can’t rest on my laurels.

We finally made it! https://t.co/kzj1bbAfrV
The former LSU long-snapper added, "We'll take it! Room to grow. Can't rest on my laurels. We finally made i!' - seemingly poking fun just in the slightest at the ratings. While Ferguson is finally getting his recognition, he landed as the 10th highest rated long snapper in the game, falling at 71 overall, which was still better than his brother.
(If you didn't know, Josh Allen was one of the few players to be in the 99 club but I still don't really think that's high enough. Maybe 110? Or 117)
The MVP QB thought the team was joking when they presented him with the news. Josh Allen responded in a way only Josh Allen knows how; it was priceless.

It's no secret that Buffalo has been a dominant football team over the past several seasons. Culture matters, and the organization has spent a ton of time and energy to make sure that when you come to Buffalo, you become the best version of yourself.
Ferguson actually predates the Beane/McDermott era, as he's been with the team since 2016, where he was signed as a rookie free agent. While he spent some time on the team's practice squad back in his rookie season, he's played in at least 16 games every season for the past 8 seasons, including more than a handful of playoff games.
His loyalty, dedication, and hard work have been rewarded with something far greater than a 71 in a video game. In March of this year, the Buffalo Bills re-signed Ferguson to a 4-year contract.
Very nice‼️

Over the years, Reid has always thrown a little shade at his younger brother, Blake, who has spent his career with the AFC East rival Miami Dolphins playing at the exact same position. They've been given the nickname 'A family of long snappers' - it's just not every day that you see brothers playing in the league at the exact same position.
It's always been brotherly love, and each has been vocal about the strong support they have for one another
I would love to be sitting at family dinner when Reid lets his brother know the news. We're sure they'll both take it in stride, but any chance to get an offseason win against the Miami Dolphins, you take it.
