Less than a month to the playoffs. It’s time. The final push separates the greats from the greasy, and the waiver wire Week 12 is full of some potential league winning players.
Charbonnet has all the talent to be a good fantasy football running back, but was held back by opportunities with Kenneth Walker in the way. Now Walker is injured, and Charbonnet is immediately a top 24 option from here on out. His schedule is tough moving forward, but as a capable pass catcher and goal line back he should get the touches that matter most. The top option on waivers Week 12. Zach Charbonnet is currently rostered in 32.4% of leagues on ESPN and just over 50% on Sleeper.
Yes, Week 11 wasn’t fun. But Mitchell is a boom or bust option at a position without a lot of boom candidates these days. Next week he gets the Chargers defense who are physically incapable of stopping the run. Even better, Herbert will keep their offense moving so the game has some serious fantasy appeal. Grumpy managers may cut Mitchell, but he’s still readily available. Keaton Mitchell is currently rostered in 35% of leagues on ESPN.
Dawson Knox went down and just as we all expected, Khalil Shakir is the main beneficiary. In reality, Shakir’s snaps have climbed with Knox out and gets a nice matchup against Philadelphia this week. He’s not a smash start, but as Gabe Davis loses targets and Shakir grows in the offense he could be extremely valuable against the Chargers and New England for fantasy championships. Khalil Shakir is currently rostered in 5% of leagues on ESPN.
Five targets in back-to-back weeks, a new coaching staff and a breath of fresh air has washed over the Raiders offense. Sure, O’Connell isn’t Tom Brady. But he’s good enough to get the ball to his playmakers, and they play the Chiefs so they’ll need fireworks to keep up. Michael Mayer is currently rostered in 6.8% of leagues on ESPN.
It hasn’t been pretty the past three weeks. But the magic from his debut was largely in part to the incompetence of the Atlanta pass rush. The Titans play the Carolina Panthers Week 12 who aren’t exactly known for their defensive prowess. There’s not a lot of better options available in over 50% of leagues, so if a team needs a swing for the fences, Levis is it. Will Levis is currently rostered in 23.4% of leagues on ESPN.
The Patriots play Tommy DeVito and the New York Giants. If that’s not enough reason to pick them up then I don’t know what is. A lot of teams dropped the Patriots defense for their bye week, but they get the Chargers in Week 13 then the Steelers if managers have room to hold them. Waiver wire gold at defense. The Patriots Defense and Special Teams are currently rostered in 28% of leagues on ESPN.
He looks better than Mattison and should get more touches moving forward.
