Week 12’s Best Games To Watch

Week 12 is just around the corner, and there are a couple of high-stakes games to watch out for. One of them involves a current dynasty that might be on the brink of trouble if things don’t go well this weekend. The other consists of a team that many are looking at as possibly pretenders coming off a rough couple of weeks.

Indianapolis Colts vs Kansas City Chiefs

The Indianapolis Colts have the opportunity of a lifetime on Sunday. They can put the Kansas City Chiefs on the verge of elimination from playoff contention. If the Chiefs lose this week, they will drop to 5-6 and pretty much have to run the table the rest of the way.

Kansas City is behind the Buffalo Bills, Los Angeles Chargers, Jacksonville Jaguars, and the Houston Texans. They don’t have much room for error because the Jaguars and Bills have tiebreakers over them. They currently sit at nine, so if they drop to 5-6, it will be an uphill battle just to reach seventh.

The Texans’ win on Thursday Night certainly did not help because they are the team right ahead of them. Houston is now 6-5, so Kansas City must keep up. Their season is on the line.

As for the Colts, they are 8-2 and coming off their bye week. A loss does not kill them by any means, but they would certainly like to be in the race for the one seed. The Denver Broncos and New England Patriots are at 9-2, so a loss would hurt in that sense.

It would also be big for Indy fans to see Daniel Jones go into Arrowhead and beat Patrick Mahomes. There has been a bit of paranoia that he is reverting to his old self after his hot start. In the last two Colts games, he turned the ball over seven times.

This is a big game for Jones to prove that his incredible season is not a product of a fast start. Who will prevail?

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs Los Angeles Rams

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield runs laterally to find an open receiver during first half action against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Nov 16, 2025 at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park.

The Tampa Buccaneers go on the road to face the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday Night Football. This is a big moment for this Bucs team. They started the season 6-2 and won a lot of close games early.

The close wins were impressive; however, many were skeptical whether they were legit because they beat bad teams. Right now, they are in a two-game losing streak, where they lost to the Patriots and the Bills. Those are two good teams, and the Bucs haven’t fared well.

Those losses for Tampa Bay have validated those skeptics. If they lose three straight games against quality opponents, it will be hard to take them seriously. Luckily, they have an opportunity to put the league on notice if they beat the red-hot 8-2 Rams on prime time.

Los Angeles is 8-2 and it at second in the NFC. A loss here would not be devastating, but like the Colts, they would like to stay in the race for the one seed. That’s pretty much what they have at stake for this game.

If Tampa wins, they will be 7-4 and the Rams will be 8-3. This would put the Philadelphia Eagles firmly at the top because both teams in this game have a lot to Philly. It’s also a cool story to see Baker Mayfield take on the team that resurrected his career.

Will the Rams continue their dominance, or will Tampa Bay pull off the upset of the week?

End Of My Week 12 Rant

It’s that time of year. Things are getting serious as real playoff implications are going to take place. This year, in particular, has been incredibly funny.

The Baltimore Ravens and Chiefs are out of the playoff bracket at the moment. The Bills are a wild-card team for the first time in half a decade.

It’s hard to fathom Kansas City missing the playoffs, but it’s a real possibility. Are Mayfield and the Buccaneers legit or just a nice story? Will the Rams be able to capture the one seed?

It’s getting so good now!
