The New England Patriots clinched a playoff spot with a dramatic 28–24 comeback win over the Baltimore Ravens Sunday night, led by quarterback Drake Maye, who threw for a career-high 380 yards and two touchdowns.
Trailing 24–13 late in the fourth quarter, Maye connected on a 37-yard touchdown to Kyle Williams and converted a 2-point pass to Rhamondre Stevenson to cut the deficit to three points. After forcing a punt, the Patriots drove 89 yards, sealing the win with a 21-yard touchdown run by Stevenson with 2:07 remaining.
The victory keeps New England (10–5) atop the AFC East, a game ahead of Buffalo, despite a loss to the Bills last week. Maye went 12 of 14 for 139 yards in the final quarter, demonstrating poise and efficiency in the clutch.
Baltimore (7–8) struggled without Lamar Jackson, who left with a back injury in the second quarter. Tyler Huntley helped the Ravens rally, and Zay Flowers scored on an 18-yard end-around. Baltimore also turned the ball over on its final drive via a fumble by Flowers. The loss leaves the Ravens two games behind AFC North leader Pittsburgh with two to play.
The Ravens, historically strong in home primetime games under John Harbaugh, fell to 0–3 this season in such contests, marking their worst home record in franchise history at 3–6.
