It is already Week 16, and three teams have clinched playoff spots. Many other teams can secure their spot in the postseason through various scenarios. What are the matchups to watch this week?

Chicago Bears Vs Green Bay Packers

The Chicago Bears will be hosting the Green Bay Packers in a pivotal Week 16 matchup. These two teams met in Week 14 when the Packers won 28-21 off a game-winning interception at the end of the game. If the Bears want to win the division, they cannot get swept.

This is a big moment for Chicago’s franchise. For the past few decades, they have been manhandled in this rivalry with Green Bay. From Brett Favre to Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay always possessed the better quarterback. The Bears have been the little brother in this rivalry far too long.

Caleb Williams, with the help of Ben Johnson, has been exercising the demons that have haunted this franchise. They are winning the close games down the stretch and have beaten some good teams like the Philadelphia Eagles. Williams is also 850 yards away from being Chicago’s first 4,000-yard passer ever. Can he do it in three games?

The main thing for Williams to do now is to restore the Bears and Packers rivalry. If he can lead his team to victory and keep them in contention for the next seed, the fans will have boundless optimism. If they lose, the fans can’t help but think here we go again.

This matchup isn’t just about this season. There is 30 years of history at stake!

Jacksonville Jaguars Vs Denver Broncos

This is the matchup of the week. The 10-4 Jacksonville Jaguars go on the road to face the red-hot Denver Broncos.

Jacksonville is no slouch either, as they are on a five-game win streak of their own. Trevor Lawrence and Bo Nix are both playing their best ball this past month, and the defenses have been stifling. This game has huge implications on the home field.

If the Jaguars win, they have a shot at the top seed. If Denver wins, they will be firmly in the driver’s seat for home-field advantage. They could actually clinch home-field advantage if they win and the Los Angeles Chargers, New England Patriots, and Buffalo Bills lose.

Jacksonville has more at stake in this matchup than the Broncos. They sit in the same position as Denver sat last week. They have been playing great football, but the competition has not been at a premium.

The same was said about the Broncos, but as soon as they beat the Packers, they have the rest of the league’s attention. The Jaguars would get that same respect if they could end Denver’s 11-game winning streak and 12-game win streak at home, dating back to last year.

For the Broncos, yes, it would be nice to potentially get the first seed this weekend, but they are due for a loss at some point. Losing this week would not hurt them too much as long as they don’t stumble in the last few weeks and give away the top seed. Going into the postseason with a little reality check is always a good thing.

Either way, this is going to be a fantastic game, and it will be fun to see live at the stadium!

Baltimore Ravens Vs New England Patriots

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson (8) throws a pass in the second quarter of the NFL football game between Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals at Paycor Stadium in Cincinnati on Dec. 14, 2025.

The Sunday Night Game of the week features the New England Patriots going on the road to face the Baltimore Ravens. The Patriots came off a week where they blew a 21-0 lead to Buffalo. The Ravens are coming off a week where they shut down the Cincinnati Bengals 24-0.

New England is 11-3, so it is in great shape for the playoffs. This week, however, the Patriots need to prove that they can beat a quality opponent. People have used their easy schedule against them in their winning streak before the Bills game. If New England loses back-to-back games against quality teams, the skepticism will just get louder.

For Baltimore, it is simple. It needs to win out, or the Ravens go home. They need to keep up with Pittsburgh so their matchup against the Steelers in Week 18 matters with the division on the line.

Lamar Jackson played a fine game against Cincinnati after struggling for a good stretch of time. If Baltimore has any shot in this game, he has to be in MVP mode, or their season is over.

Will the Ravens keep their season alive, or will the Patriots get one step closer to winning the AFC East?

End Of Week 16 Rant

Week 16 has a tremendous slate of people. If that Seattle Seahawks vs Los Angeles Rams game is an indication of how these important games are going to go this week, we are in for a treat.

This is the best time of the year. The playoff scenarios are going to go wild, and we will see which teams can make their way into the top 14.

This 2025 season has been nuts!
