This week's fantasy football sleeper crop is among the safest of the year, and several of them will be necessary plays to cover for injuries and byes.

Once the must-start players are locked in, fantasy football owners face challenging weekly lineup decisions for the remaining slots, and knowing the best sleeper picks gives you the winning edge. Join us each week of the NFL season as we uncover those hidden gems to help you hoist a fantasy championship trophy!

Week 7 Fantasy Football QB Sleepers

QB Carson Wentz, Minnesota Vikings vs. Philadelphia Eagles: It's still not clear as of midweek which quarterback will start for the Vikes, but Kevin O'Connell will err on the side of caution if J.J. McCarthy (ankle) isn't 100% healthy. The Eagles are facing injury questions to a pair of key defenders, although it's too early to definitively say how that will shake out. Wentz could be an acceptable concession at the position if you've lost someone to injury or bye. Coming out of the Minnesota's own bye, stocked with a deep cache of weapons, this former Eagle isn't the worst choice.

Week 7 Fantasy Football RB Sleepers

RB Kareem Hunt, Kansas City Chiefs vs. Las Vegas Raiders: The Raiders have allowed running back rushing scores at the highest clip in the league, and therein is why you should consider Hunt. He has been erratic but presents the most bang for your buck from this backfield.

RB Woody Marks, Houston Texans at Seattle Seahawks: In the last five weeks, Seattle has been the best defense at limiting RB rushing yards but ranks fourth easiest to exploit in aerial yardage to the position. Only one team has allowed more receptions per game since Week 2 kicked off. Marks, coming out of the bye, ought to be a worthwhile flex play in PPR.

RB Kenneth Gainwell, Pittsburgh Steelers at Cincinnati Bengals: For as much as Jaylen Warren should be a coveted play this week, Gainwell also fits the bill as a useful fantasy commodity. Cincinnati allowed RBs six rushing TDs but another four aerial scores, which is probably where we'll see Gainwell do the most damage in Week 7.

Week 7 Fantasy Football WR Sleepers

WR Trey Tucker, Las Vegas Raiders at Kansas City Chiefs: Tucker has been the most consistent Vegas receiver thus far, and there was midweek speculation as to whether Jakobi Meyers (knee, toe) will be traded following a Wednesday practice absence. In a matchup against such a prolific opponent, Geno Smith may be forced to sling it in effort to keep up.

WR Tez Johnson, Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Detroit Lions: The Buccaneers could be without Mike Evans, Chris Godwin and Emeka Egbuka, and we already know Bucky Irving is not expected to be available. Johnson is a home run waiting to happen but profiles as a low-volume option.

WR Luther Burden III, Chicago Bears vs. New Orleans Saints: This one only comes into play if Chicago is without DJ Moore (hip, groin), which seems quite plausible following his overnight stay in the hospital after Monday's contest. Burden may not see a massive target share but could be useful given all of the WR injuries of note.

Week 7 Fantasy Football TE Sleepers

TE Cade Otton, Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Detroit Lions: Otton will have another week of utility after consecutive outings with 10-plus PPR points. The Bucs possibly will be without their top trio of receivers, plus Irving, so targets should be aplenty. Detroit permitted three TE scores in the first six games.

TE Noah Fant, Cincinnati Bengals vs. Pittsburgh Steelers: This one is all about a flier for a TD with the attention Pittsburgh will pay to slowing Cincinnati's receivers. Now that Mike Gesicki is on IR, Fant has a puncher's chance of finding the end zone vs. a group that allowed three scores over 32 granted catches to open the year.

Week 7 Fantasy Football Sleeper Defenses

Carolina Panthers at New York Jets: Look, you can't expect nine sacks from a defense that has only five to its credit in 2025, but Carolina has a chance to step it up vs. the Jets. New York could be down Garrett Wilson and already is limited in its offensive capacity, hence the inclusion of the Panthers.
