Weekend Six-Pack: NFL Week 16 betting guide

It's a busy time of year, but fret not, we've got you covered with a diverse look of bets for this weekend in the NFL. We'll be focused on the Saturday and Sunday slates, but that shouldn't be a problem.

Last week, we went 3-2-1 on our six picks, bringing the season to 47-36-1. It's been a very solid year, but it's about how you finish, so let's keep things rolling! Kick back and relax with this six-pack of NFL picks.

The definition of insanity: Pittsburgh +3 (-110 FD)

Why do we keep betting on the Steelers? We completely understand if this makes you cringe, and this is very literally the definition of insanity, but maybe that's what it takes to find us some winning spread bets right now in the NFL. This Cincinnati defense remains an issue in all facets, and Pittsburgh has won two of the past three meetings.

Here's to Mason Rudolph pulling off a Christmas miracle for a Steelers team in dire need of a win.

Time to deserve that A: Josh Allen over 245.5 passing yards (-114 FD)

Last week, Josh Allen was not too involved in Buffalo's big win over the Cowboys, leading him to say he felt like that kid who didn't do anything on the project and still got an A.

Saturday night should be a different case, as the Chargers are squarely one of, if not the worst, secondary in football. That should lend itself to a bigger game for Allen and these pass-catchers. He's over this number in 63% of his games dating back the past three seasons, and 12 of 14 QBs to face the Chargers have gone over their yardage line.

Set and forget: Jahmyr Gibbs over 13.5 longest rush (-120 DK)

Let's just keep betting this, deal? Gibbs has gone over this line in eight straight games, with a 20+ yard run in seven of those games. The rookie runner is truly special, and this game on the Minnesota turf should be a fast-paced affair.

WRs should power points: Seattle-Tennessee over 41.5 points (-110 DK)

As we scanned the Week 16 matchups, both wide receivers groups for the Seahawks and Titans came up as good looks for yards, receptions, and most importantly: touchdowns.

Rather than hone in on who it is that capitalizes (probably DK Metcalf and DeAndre Hopkins), we're just going to load up points here as Geno Smith and Will Levis pick apart some weak secondaries.

This could be Beathard, but we still believe: Jaguars +3 (-110 DK)

We're backing C.J. Beathard this weekend. There, we said it. Here's hoping Trevor Lawrence can clear concussion protocol, but we're on this regardless. This bet is far more an indictment on the state of this Tampa Bay secondary than it is an endorsement of Beathard at the QB position.

Still, the Jaguars have the pass-catchers to make a backup QB's life a bit easier, and Tampa Bay truly cannot stop anyone through the air. Jacksonville has dropped three straight games and really needs to find a way to get right. We'll take the points. If it does end up being Lawrence, even better.

Flacco loves his TE: David Njoku over 48.5 receiving yards (-115 CZR)

Njoku has popped the past two weeks as his chemistry grows with Joe Flacco, going for 91 and 104 yards. That should continue here, as Houston is allowing the second-most receptions per game to TEs. Mind if we just end the analysis there? Three straight tight ends have gone over against the Texans.
