The 2025 NFL schedule was released on Wednesday evening, giving fans of all 32 franchises a chance to start planning for their upcoming season’s worth of travel.
After the Philadelphia Eagles stopped the Kansas City Chiefs short of winning three-straight Super Bowls this past season, Patrick Mahomes will attempt to get his team back to the top for the fourth time in his illustrious career.
It will be an interesting year for the Chiefs, too, as there’s a ton of change within their division—perhaps none more dramatic than what we’ve seen in Las Vegas.
The Raiders are coming off a 4-13 season in 2024 and will be breaking in a completely retooled coaching staff and roster. One of the biggest changes will be former West Virginia quarterback Geno Smith taking over at quarterback in lieu of Gardner Minshew, who’s now in Kansas City.
Now, two former Big 12 quarterbacks will face off for the first time as division rivals on October 19, when the Raiders come to Arrowhead.
Naturally, the Big 12 is excited about this new all-Big 12 quarterback rivalry.

What the league didn’t realize was that this post would give WVU fans a chance to pile on the former Texas Tech quarterback for failing to ever beat Smith’s alma mater.
Friendly reminder that WVU is undefeated against Patrick Mahomes. https://t.co/IZBY768cpx
