What makes Dolphins' 70-point eruption even more impressive

The Bears' and Jets' brutal stretch of offensive showings date back to the end of the 2022 regular season.

Chicago lost their final two contests of 2022 by scores of 41-10 and 29-13 against the Detroit Lions and Minnesota Vikings to finish the campaign on a 10-game losing streak at 3-14 overall. Things seem to keep getting worse week by week so far this fall with defeats of 38-20, 27-17 and 41-10 against the Green Bay Packers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Kansas City Chiefs.

Add in the disastrous events leading up to the Week 3 blowout loss to the Chiefs and the Bears have been one of the most embarrassing stories in the young NFL season.

New York, meanwhile, may never know how differently things could've gone, at least to start the campaign, due to quarterback Aaron Rodgers' torn Achilles in the opening minutes of Week 1.

Looking back to last year, the Jets finished off a once-promising 2022 season on a six-game losing streak, including defeats by counts of 23-6 and 11-6 against the Seattle Seahawks and Miami Dolphins in Weeks 17 and 18. While the Jets miraculously won their season-opener against the Buffalo Bills 22-16 in overtime earlier this month, they've followed that up with 30-10 and 15-10 losses against the Dallas Cowboys and New England Patriots.

With Gang Green apparently committed to struggling young quarterback Zach Wilson, their offensive issues may not be going away anytime soon.
