What Travis Kelce Did During Chiefs' Flight Delay

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce was unbothered during the team's delayed flight to Colorado for their Week 18 game against the Denver Broncos.

The Chiefs were stranded at the KCI Airport on Saturday, Jan. 4, before their season finale due to a winter storm. Because of the icy conditions at the airport, it was simply impossible to travel early on.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Chiefs had to sit inside the United plane that the team chartered for over four hours due to the weather problem.

Interestingly, when the Chiefs' flight delay became a topic of conversation during his "New Heights" podcast with his brother Jason Kelce, Travis Kelce admitted that he was asleep for the most part of their wait.

"How did you know?" Travis Kelce said when his brother read a fan post guessing that the Chiefs TE would say he was "asleep" during the incident. "Dude, I was [expletive]."

"When I get on these planes, I eat my Chick-fil-A and I [expletive] recline my seat, I put on my headphones and I'm out. I could sleep at a [expletive] rock concert. It doesn't matter where I'm at."

Travis Kelce proceeded to say that he was "out for about three hours on the runway while everybody was kicking it, having a grand ol' time."

"I heard some O-linemen were wrestling, I heard everybody telling war stories and having a good ol' time. I woke up as the plane was taking off, and I was like, 'What the [expletive?' [It] feels like I've been asleep for forever, and I look at the time and I'm just like, 'Where the [expletive].' What just happened?"

The good news was the Chiefs were able to still fly to Denver later in the day. Travis Kelce, Patrick Mahomes and several of the team's starters did not suit up in the regular-season finale, but they were in attendance at Empower Field at Mile High to cheer for their teammates.
