When Is the 2026 NFL Draft?

The pick is in — and so is the location.

The city of Pittsburgh will host the 2026 NFL draft from April 23–25, marking the first time the Steel City has hosted the event since December 1947.

The Las Vegas Raiders currently hold the first overall pick in the 2026 draft, their first time selecting No. 1 since 2007. The New York Jets and Arizona Cardinals follow with the second and third picks, respectively.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are slotted to pick 21st overall. They selected defensive tackle Derrick Harmon with the same pick in last year’s draft.

Early projections for the 2026 class feature several high-profile prospects, including Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza, Miami edge rusher Rueben Bain Jr. and Ohio State safety Caleb Downs.

When is the 2026 NFL Draft?

The 2026 NFL draft is scheduled for April 23-25. 

The draft follows a three-day format:

  • Thursday, April 23: Round 1
  • Friday, April 24: Rounds 2 and 3
  • Saturday, April 25: Rounds 4 through 7

Events will take place outside of Acrisure Stadium on the North Shore and in the downtown area of Pittsburgh.
