Where Do Two Rams Super Bowl Winners Rank Among All-Time Greats?
USA TODAY Sports

The Kansas City Chiefs won the Super Bowl on Sunday, and now that the NFL season is over, it's a good time to look back at all the other teams that have won the big game.

In a recent article by ESPN's Aaron Schatz, he ranks all 58 Super Bowl winners from best to worst. The Rams have two Super Bowls to their name, and both of them were ranked along with the rest of the past winners.

The 2021 Rams Super Bowl win was ranked at 34 out of 58, as three of the team's wins in the playoffs were decided by just three points. The Rams beat the Arizona Cardinals 34-11 in the first round, but then the team only beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the San Francisco 49ers, and the Cincinnati Bengals in the Super Bowl by three points apiece.

With that being said, the team was very fun to watch throughout the playoffs and the regular season, as they had one of the best players in the entire NFL in Cooper Kupp. The star wide receiver won the triple crown, and the team was led very effectively by Matthew Stafford in his first season away from the Detroit Lions.

As for the Rams first-ever Super Bowl win in 1999, ESPN ranked it at 16. The reason for it not being higher was the relatively easy schedule that the Rams had that season. Based on the average DVOA of opponents, the only team since 1981 that played an easier schedule was the 1991 Bills.

But despite their lighter schedule, the 1999 Rams were known as the "Greatest Show on Turf" for a reason. Hall of Fame field general Kurt Warner was throwing the ball to the electric wide receiver combo of Isaac Bruce and Torry Holt, and there wasn't much other teas could do about it.

The Rams made the playoffs this past season but were not able to make it past the Wild Card round. This season, they will be looking to contend again, and hopefully make some more noise in the postseason.
