
NFL owners approved to allow players to participate in flag football in the 2028 Olympics in Los Angles. In the full press release, the NFL noted that players from the league have expressed “great desire” to represent their countries in the Olympics. Pro-Bowlers from around the league will likely participate, which begs the question, who on the Arizona Cardinals will try and win a Gold Medal?
At only 25 years old, McBride is just entering the prime of his career and had his best season to date. In 2024, McBride earned his first Pro-Bowl selection by recording 111 catches for 1,146 receiving yards. His 6’4 and 246-pound frame would be overwhelming to the defenses, while McBride’s stellar route running will find the hole in any defense.
Harrison’s size and athleticism would make him a home run pick for team USA. The 22-year-old stands at 6’4 and mentioned that he has put on pounds of muscles in his first NFL offseason. In his rookie season, Harrison caught 62 passes for 885 receiving yards and eight touchdowns. The wide receiver team for Team USA is stacked with talent, but Harrison’s youth and size make an attractive option for 2028.
Baker is a seven-time All-Pro and four-time member of the All-Pro teams and is widely considered the best safety in the NFL. His play on the field matches his leadership off of it, being named Cardinals team captain for five straight seasons. Baker set a career-high in tackles with 164 and tackles for lost with 10 last year. While on the older side at 29 years old, Baker’s leadership could be a vital addition to Team USA’s defense.
