The Kansas City Chiefs continue their quest to play on every day but Sunday during the 2024 season with their next game taking place on Saturday. The Houston Texans are coming to Arrowhead in what could eventually be a playoff rematch.
The Chiefs are still striving for the number one seed in the postseason while the Texans have already won their division and now are just fighting for better seeding. They'd be the four seed if the season ended right now and that'd mean they'd be welcoming in whoever gets the top wild card spot.
With this being a Saturday game, who can we expect on the call for the Chiefs/Texans match-up?
We'll hear some new voices during this week's Chiefs game, as Noah Eagle (yes, Ian Eagle's son) will be the play-by-play announcer while former Chiefs first-round bust Todd Blackledge will be the color commentator. Kathryn Tappen will be holding things down on the sideline.
There will also be a Madden cast on Peacock and that crew will consist of Paul Burmeister, Kurt Benkert, and Chad Ochocinco.
Uh oh Chiefs fans, it's finally happening -- Carl Cheffers is the head referee for a Chiefs game for the first time this season. Cheffers is most famous for the game against the Raiders in 2022 when he was calling a penalty and his voice cracked when fans were booing him. Chiefs fans are not fond of Cheffers and think he's always making calls against them so be on the lookout for that.
