Cleveland Browns are in search of their new defensive coordinator with the search going on for a week now. In that time, Cleveland has interviewed multiple candidates as they get down to the bottom of things.
The following candidates have already interviewed for the job:
Brian Flores (Steelers)
Jim Schwartz (Titans)
Dennard Wilson (Eagles)
Sean Desai (Seahawks)
Cleveland has opted to interview a handful of candidates for the open job already. New England Patriots inside linebackers coach Jarod Mayo backed out from an interview, as the Patriots gave him a promotion.
For this hiring cycle, the Browns have interviewed three candidates that are on the youth side of coaching football professionally. Like Flores, Schwartz is a former NFL head coach -- which could be a bonus to the staff.
Flores looks to be the odd man out of these four thus far. He's picked up head coaching interest, and if he is taking a coordinator job it may be for just a year.
Expect the Browns to wrap these interviews up and for Kevin Stefanski to add a defensive coordinator to his staff relatively soon.
