Just last weekend the Buffalo Bills punched their ticket to the AFC title game with a 27-25 victory over the Baltimore Ravens.
Following the win, head coach Sean McDermott had a message for the team's doubters as they prepare for a bout against the Kanas City Chiefs with a spot in the Super Bowl on the line.
"Our guys heard it all -- they heard it all week long. We're not big enough, we're not strong enough. Not talented enough. Whatever it is, they heard it," McDermott told reporters this week. "I don't do the social media things, but I think most of those guys do. And look, we did, I think, in the first half a pretty darn good job. Second half, [Henry] got rolling a little bit. And he's going to pop some runs, I mean, when he gets that momentum, he's hard to stop. So, but even there, we could have done some things better, and I think fundamentally, so when we just look at this game, it came down to fundamentalism in football. And we talked a lot about that."
As both teams get set for Sunday's game, retired United States Navy Petty Officer First Class Generald Wilson is doing the same. The Chiefs chose Wilson as the singer for Sunday's national anthem, which he announced on social media.
Wilson took to social media earlier today with a message before setting the national stage for Sunday's AFC title game.
"FROM AUBURN TO KANSAS CITY!!!! WE WE MADE IT FAMILY!!!! Can't wait to see and hear "The Kingdom" (Wait......The Entire Nation) today singing OUR National Anthem in unison! Letzgoooooooo Y'all!!! Love each and everyone of y'all to Life!" he said.
