The Philadelphia Eagles are taking on the Denver Broncos at Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday, as Nick Sirianni and the Eagles come into the game with a 4-0 record, while Sean Payton and the Broncos are 2-2 so far this season.

The defending Super Bowl champion Eagles have been impressive through their first four games, as quarterback Jalen Hurts and running back Saquon Barkley have been playing at a Pro Bowl level.

Through the first four games, Hurts has thrown for 609 yards and five touchdowns with no interceptions in the air and has added four scores on the ground. Barkley has led the team in rushing with 237 yards to go with three touchdowns.

As the Eagles got warmed up for and began their game on Sunday against the Broncos, fans may have seen that all of Philadelphia's wide receivers were wearing pink cleats. Wideouts A.J. Brown, Devonta Smith, John Metchie III and Jahan Dotson were all photographed wearing the cleats.

The Eagles' wide receivers decided to make this fashion statement in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. With this being the Eagles' first game of October, the receivers decided to pull out the pink cleats on Sunday.

The color pink first became a popular symbol for breast cancer awareness when the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation gave out pink ribbons at its first-ever Race for the Cure event. This was the first time pink became the biggest symbol of breast cancer awareness.

NFL players started to wear pink accessories on their uniforms during October during the 2009 season, and it became a staple for years. However, in the past few seasons, players have been wearing it less and less as the league shifted its focus to a broader effort to raise cancer awareness.

The Eagles seem to be bringing back the pink in October, as their wide receivers made a statement on Sunday.
