Why Bucs Should 'Feel Good' Ahead Of NFL Draft

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were one of the better teams in the NFC last season, and that was despite being decimated by injuries at times on both sides of the ball.

Entering the offseason, the biggest question mark was Chris Godwin, but general manager Jason Licht managed to get a deal done for the Pro Bowler to ease the fears of Godwin playing elsewhere in 2025.

But other re-signings in Ben Bredeson and Lavonte David further solidified two roster spots on both sides of the ball, and perhaps the best signing of the offseason was adding star pass rusher Haason Reddick.

The Bucs had a desperate need to add some pass-rushing help, and they got perhaps one of the best on the market, and at just $14 million for one year, too.

Due to the Buccaneers' offseason dealings, Pro Football Focus has them in a prime position entering the draft.

"Having retained Chris Godwin, Lavonte David and Ben Bredeson while adding Haason Reddick, the Buccaneers should feel good heading into the draft," Pro Football Focus writes.

What's more, Pro Football Focus has the Bucs as one of only four other teams with no "remaining starter needs", which shows fans how well-rounded the roster is under Licht and Todd Bowles.

Set to again be one of the better teams in the NFC, the Buccaneers are also favorites to claim the NFC South for a fifth consecutive time, with Baker Mayfield and the offense set to be the straw that stirs the team's drink in 2025.

With Tampa Bay able to add a quality piece in Reddick, plus retain several key players this offseason, it will enter the draft with a chance to go in any direction it wants without being forced to go for a position.

And that, my friends, is a "good" place to be.
