The Green Bay Packers returned to action on Sunday and successfully snapped their two-game winless skid. Coming off a bye in Week 5, Green Bay took down the Cincinnati Bengals at Lambeau Field to the tune of a 27-18 score.

The game was much more competitive than the score suggests. Green Bay was held scoreless in the first quarter and struggled a bit in staving off Cincinnati’s fightback in the fourth quarter. Nevertheless, the Packers got their third win of the season, thanks in large part to another stellar outing from star running back Josh Jacobs.

After the Bengals game, Jacobs admitted that he was not feeling great before the matchup, even saying that he threw up during the contest. But he also took it as a sign that he was about to have a fantastic performance.

The Pro Bowl running back said he vomited a couple times during the game while battling the flu, but he had a 3-yard touchdown run in the second quarter and opened the fourth by scoring on a 14-yard burst up the middle.

“I just kind of woke up this morning just not feeling my best,” said Jacobs, who rushed for 93 yards on 18 carries. “But I told them, the last time that I felt that way, I had 130 (yards) and two touchdowns. So it is what it is.”

Jacobs surely didn’t look like he was battling an illness on the field, as he repeatedly gashed Cincinnati’s defense. He finished with a season-high 93 rushing yards to go with a couple of touchdowns on 18 carries. He added 57 receiving yards while catching all five passes from quarterback Jordan Love.
