Wild news emerges about Bills GM that will frustrate Buffalo fans

The Buffalo Bills entered the NFL offseason with very limited cap room, so there really wasn’t a whole lot they could do in terms of improving the roster in free agency.

However, the Bills did manage to land a couple of notable defenders, adding edge rusher Michael Hoecht and defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi.

But here’s the kicker: both Hoecht and Ogunjobi will serve six-game suspensions to start the 2025 campaign after violating the league’s performance-enhancing drugs policy.

So now, Buffalo will be without a couple of key players for a significant chunk of time. To make matters worse, though, Brandon Beane apparently didn’t even know Ogunjobi had a positive test when he was signed, via Bills team reporter Maddy Glab.

This is definitely a rather tough situation for Buffalo, which will now have to find a way to manage over much of the first half of the season sans two significant pieces.

Could this also alter what the Bills decide to do in the NFL Draft? Perhaps, as it’s not like Hoecht and Ogunjobi are merely depth pieces. These are two good players that Buffalo will have to find a way to replace for a duration of time.

Hoecht logged 56 tackles and three sacks with the Los Angeles Rams this past season while Ogunjobi registered 41 tackles and 1.5 sacks with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Bills went 13-4 and captured their fifth straight AFC East division title this past year, but fell to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game. It marked the fourth time in five seasons that the Chiefs had eliminated Buffalo from the playoffs.
