The Pittsburgh Steelers will look to improve their lead in the AFC North on Sunday when they host the Cleveland Browns.
In their Week 13 win against the Cincinnati Bengals, the Steelers suffered a potentially crucial loss to their offense, as breakout receiver Calvin Austin III suffered a concussion.
When speaking to media on Tuesday, coach Mike Tomlin was unsure about Austin's availability for Sunday. However, an update from Pittsburgh's Wednesday practice provided some optimism.
Austin was officially listed as limited in practice on Wednesday. Although he didn't practice fully, the fact that he saw the field at all proves that there's a strong chance he plays, considering anyone with a concussion likely wouldn't be able to practice at all.
Getting him back against the Browns would be massive, as Pittsburgh's receiver depth is not one of their strengths on offense. Austin is also coming off a huge performance against Cleveland just two weeks ago. In their last matchup, Austin finished with three catches for 78 yards and a touchdown.
In his third year in the NFL and his second fully-healthy season, Austin has been one of the team's biggest breakouts. He's currently tied for the team lead in receiving touchdowns (four), and third on the team in receiving yards (383).
Prior to getting injured in the first half against the Bengals, Austin was on track to have another big performance, totaling 29 yards and a touchdown on two catches.
