Will Fuller 'generating a lot of interest' at trade deadline
Will Houston Texans wide receiver Will Fuller be moved at Tuesday's trade deadline? Christopher Hanewinckel-USA TODAY Sports

Will Fuller 'generating a lot of interest' before trade deadline

Tuesday is the NFL's trade deadline, and the Green Bay Packers are reportedly still interested in adding receiver Will Fuller to their already-loaded offense. But NFL Network's Ian Rapoport says that they may have some competition, as the Houston Texans may have their choice of bidders for the receiver.

"Will Fuller is someone I'm told is generating a lot of interest," Rapoport said on "Good Morning Football." "We'll see if a team, the Green Bay would be one of them, ends up doing a deal for him."

Rapoport noted that a team would likely have to be willing to pay up in order to acquire Fuller, as Texans chairman and CEO Cal McNair said the team is planning to make "no big moves" before Tuesday's trade deadline. McNair insisted the team is not giving up on its season despite the slow start.

But if a team like the Packers is willing to give up picks or a promising young player for Fuller, it seems likely that Houston would be willing to deal the talented but inconsistent receiver. For the Packers, Fuller would hopefully become the clear No. 2 receiver behind Davante Adams, as Green Bay's receiving core has been hit hard with injuries.

But if not Green Bay, there are surely plenty of other teams who would not mind adding Fuller to their roster. At only 26, Fuller still provides a lot of upside and it certainly doesn't hurt that he is relatively cheap, with only a $10 million salary for this season.
