Will Howard Proclaims He's The Best Quarterback In 2025 NFL Draft

Will Howard is still on cloud nine going into the 2025 NFL Draft.

He helped Ohio State win its first national title in a decade during the 2024 season after the program went 10-2 during the regular season. OSU ran the table in the College Football Playoff, beating Tennessee, Oregon, Texas, and Notre Dame to win it all.

It came after the Buckeyes lost to their biggest rival, the Michigan Wolverines, for a fourth consecutive season.

Howard was the quarterback all season, finishing with 4,010 yards through the air, 35 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions. He will now be in the NFL and is pretty high on himself.

He thinks he is the best quarterback in this year's draft.

"I believe I'm the best quarterback in this class," Howard told ESPN's Elizabeth Merrill. "I think there's unbelievable talent. But if you're going to be a competitor, at the end of the day, you have to have that belief in yourself, and I think that's what helps me get through those adverse times."

He isn't projected to be drafted in the first round but could be a second or third-round pick during the second day of the draft. Several teams have been interested in him during the pre-draft process and one will take a chance on him once the draft starts in two weeks.

Howard spent the first four seasons of his collegiate career with the Kansas State Wildcats before spending his final season with the Buckeyes. He went out on top and will now try to keep developing as a quarterback in the NFL.

The 2025 NFL Draft will take place from April 24-26 in Green Bay. ESPN, ABC, and NFL Network will have coverage of the annual event.
