Will Kyle Pitts Or Kirk Cousins Be Traded First?
Stephen R. Sylvanie-Imagn Images

Kyle Pitts has been in trade rumors since mid-season while Kirk Cousins has been the talk of the offseason about his potential trade. Neither one has been fully offered in a trade but there is interest for both players pre-draft.

Due to Pitts’ contract not being as bad as Cousins', there is a high probability that Pitts will be the first of the two to be traded by the Atlanta Falcons. There are many teams that can be in the pot for Pitts, specifically AFC teams like the New York Jets, Denver Broncos, Indianapolis Colts, Kansas City Chiefs, and other teams that could use a new tight end.

Cousins recently signed that $180 million contract that is currently holding the Falcons hostage as they have switched to Michael Penix Jr. as their full-time starter, after Cousins had a lackluster season. The Titans, Saints, and Browns could all be teams to look at for a potential Cousins trade at some point.

If either one of these guys get traded, the other will follow right after to build more draft stock for the upcoming seasons. Pitts can flourish in a different system, seeing as he has very high potential that he had yet to unlock as a member of the Falcons. The Chiefs could be the main deal for Pitts for him to backup Kelce and gain experience playing behind a hall of famer.

As we inch towards the draft these rumors get spicier every day, with new teams getting involved in these rumors, it is only a matter of time until one of these two is on a new roster.
