Will Titans select Ryan Tannehill's replacement in draft?

The Titans are reportedly eyeing a trade that would put a new face at QB.

Per Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston, Tennessee is interested in trading with the Cardinals for the third overall pick, with Ohio State's CJ Stroud as its target.

Per a report from ESPN's Jeremy Fowler earlier this week (h/t Bleacher Report), the Titans are interested in moving on for their current QB, 34-year-old Ryan Tannehill. He's in the final year of his contract.

Per Cody Benjamin of CBS Sports, they would save nearly $18M by trading or releasing Tannehill. The veteran QB has a cap hit of $36.6M in 2023.

Tennessee could be entering a hard rebuild phase. Along with Tannehill, star running back Derrick Henry is also entering the final year of his contract

If the Titans are planning a teardown, it would be beneficial to draft a QB they believe in now to focus on filling other holes through the rebuilding process.

The Titans would have to give up significant capital to trade up to No. 3. To move up to the top spot in this year's draft, the Panthers sent to the Bears two first-round picks, two second-rounders and star wide receiver D.J. Moore.

Per ESPN's Dianna Russini, Arizona is fielding offers from multiple teams interested in moving up to the third overall pick.

The Cardinals are rebuilding but have their franchise QB (Kyler Murray) locked into a multiyear deal. Arizona could hold a fire sale for WR DeAndre Hopkins and safety Budda Baker, who has requested a trade.
