Shedeur Sanders may have fallen to the 144th overall pick in April's NFL Draft, but the former Colorado star was the No. 1 selection for a lot of fans when choosing their jerseys this fall.
Despite Sanders' historic draft slide and third-string status in the Browns' QB room, Shedeur remains among the most popular players in the entire league — and he may not even start this season.
Sanders' pedigree and style of play endeared him to fans in college. And that swagger led many to believe that he would be one of the first players off the board in this year's draft.
That didn't end up being the case though, as Shedeur slipped all the way to the fifth round behind quarterbacks Cam Ward, Jaxson Dart, Tyler Shough, Jalen Milroe and Browns teammate Dillon Gabriel. But he remains above all of them when it comes moving product for the NFL, Fanatics and Nike.
This week the NFLPA released the jersey sales data from March 1 to July 31 for the 50 best-selling jerseys in the league based on officially licensed merchandise.
And while Super Bowl champions Saquon Barkley and Jalen Hurts ranked Nos. 1 and 2, Shedeur wasn't far behind.
According to the Players Association, Sanders scored fifth in league-wide jersey sales — only trailing Saquon, Jalen, Washington's Jayden Daniels and reigning MVP Josh Allen — placing him ahead of players like Patrick Mahomes (No. 7), Lamar Jackson (No. 8) and former Buffs teammate Travis Hunter (No. 11).
Shedeur also ranked above first overall pick Cam Ward who came in at No. 13 on the list.
As an electric week one comes to a close, here are the top jersey sales to start the season.⚡

With Sanders' popularity it won't be long before fans in Cleveland are calling for him to see the field. But the Browns have made it clear thus far that they're going to ride with veteran Joe Flacco before handing over the keys to either of their rookie QBs.
Shedeur finished the preseason 17-of-29 on his pass attempts for 152 yards with two touchdowns, zero picks and seven sacks taken in two games of exhibition action.
