WR Jordan Addison already showing why he is perfect fit for Vikings offense

That is a catch — or at least it should have been a catch, and maybe during a regular-season game the Vikings coaching staff gets a challenge in on time to overturn it. Even though it was (wrongly) ruled incomplete, it still shows the type of talent and footwork that Addison has and what he can bring to the offense.

He has been displaying all of that throughout training camp, and on Thursday, he finally had a chance to showcase it during real competition against another NFL team.

If that is a sign of things to come, it is an extremely good one for the Vikings offense because it will give it another big-play complement to superstar Justin Jefferson on the other side of the field. That could be a nightmare scenario for defenses and a dream scenario for Jefferson.

Jefferson, already one of the NFL's elite receivers, is coming off a monster season (league-leading 128 passes for an NFL-best 1,809 yards). That was without having another receiver opposite him who could draw coverage and attention to truly take focus off him. Addison has the potential to do that, and it could not only result in the Vikings passing game opening up even more, but it could even help Jefferson become the NFL's first 2,000-yard receiver and set the season receiving yards record.

Addison's rookie season got off to a bit of a rocky start with a 140 mph speeding ticket, but he immediately apologized and promised to learn from his mistake. With that behind him, he is now starting to make his impact on the field, and Vikings fans should be excited about the possibilities.
