'Wrong Number!' Hailee Steinfeld Pulls For Bills, Allen on Red Carpet
USA TODAY SPORTS

Sunday proved to be a solid day for gunslingers in Buffalo and beyond.

Western New York's leading power couple enjoyed an accoladed end to the weekend: Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen partook in the team's 21-14 AFC East-clinching victory over the Miami Dolphins while significant other Hailee Steinfeld, the actress known for her 2010 breakout in the Western "True Grit," was one of the star attractions at the 81st Golden Globe Awards in Beverly Hills.

Allen and Steinfeld have mostly kept their relationship private but the latter playfully let her guard during her Sunday arrival: with USA Today's Ralphie Aversa brandishing a Stefon Diggs Bills jersey, Steinfeld declared that she felt "really good" about a Buffalo victory. As she moved on, Steinfeld noted Aversa carried the "wrong number" with a smirk.

The actress, 27, was at the annual awards showcase to represent one of her latest films "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse." Though the webslingers didn't prevail in any of their three nominations, Steinfeld also served as the presenter for Best Screenplay alongside co-stars Shameik Moore and Daniel Kaluuya.

Steinfeld's spider sense worked in the Bills' favor over 2,700 miles away in Miami Gardens, as the Bills completed a season sweep of the Dolphins behind a 426-yard showing for Allen, which included the game-winning touchdown pass to Dawson Knox just after the midway mark of the fourth quarter. With the win, Buffalo (11-6) clinched its fourth consecutive AFC East title, its first such streak since 1988-91.

Plenty of blue-and-red-clad superheroes have risen for the Bills this season, as they've now won each of their last heading into the AFC playoffs. The trek to the Super Bowl begins on Sunday afternoon when Buffalo hosts the Pittsburgh Steelers in the Wild Card round (1 p.m. ET, CBS).
