Young Bucs Coach Makes Special ESPN 100 List

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers had a very potent offense last season, ranking in the top six in offensive production, at almost 400 yards per game. They are returning several starters, and are anticipating the return of injured receiver Chris Godwin to join the fray again.

In a recent “100 things” article from ESPN.com, Buccaneers offensive coordinator Josh Grizzard was listed as a name that people should familiarize themselves with as he looks to take the step into new Jacksonville Jaguars head coach, Liam Coen's former role.

Grizzard does not have a long history of coaching experience. He began in 2017 in the Miami Dolphins organization as a quality control coach. He would have two years working with the receivers in South Beach before he would land the job with Tampa Bay last season.

Grizzard is only 34 years of age but has experience learning from some solid coaches previously, such as the afore mentioned Coen, and Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel.

He is going to have a slew of weapons to use at his disposal, such as newly drafted receiver Emeka Egbuka, and the ever-consistent Mike Evans. He will also have emerging tight end Cade Otton, and up-and-coming star out of the backfield Bucky Irving.

It will be good to see how Grizzard spreads the ball around, and how he can draw up schemes to get each of their playmakers the ball. The Buccaneers, led by their quarterback Baker Mayfield, could be a fun group to keep an eye on this season.
