Young Chargers player is already catching the attention of others around the NFL and could elevate into stardom in 2025

The Los Angeles Chargers were able to bounce back in 2024 to being one of the top teams in the AFC after a disappointing year in 2023. Their roster, along with a new coaching staff led by Jim Harbaugh, deserves a lot of credit for this turn, and the sky is the limit for 2025.

Especially when you have a young ascending player like Joe Alt, who looks primed to take the leap into stardom, and others around the league have taken notice.

Chargers Joe Alt doesn't crack a recent top 10 OT ranking but is named an honorable mention

Honorable Mention: Joe Alt, Los Angeles Chargers

Alt wasn't able to land in the top ten tackle rankings alongside his Chargers teammate Rashawn Slater, who came in at sixth. The Chargers were ecstatic to land Alt with the fifth pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. In 2024, he showed that he has all the talent in the world and is capable of becoming one of the top tackles in the league. And I wouldn't be shocked if he catapulted himself into those discussions as early as this year in just his second season. His ability to be a difference maker as both a pass and run blocker is perfect for the Chargers' offense, which aims to establish a run game while also featuring one of the top quarterbacks in the league, Justin Herbert. This time next year, I believe we will see Alt join the top 10 ranks and move out of the honorable mention section. My bold prediction is that Alt will leap ahead of his teammate Slater and be viewed as the top tackle on the Chargers, forming one of the top tackle duos in the NFL.
