Zac Taylor and the Bengals aren't thinking heavily about absences from Shemar Stewart and Trey Hendrickson once the training camp work starts. The head coach told the media on Wednesday that it's a non-issue in the locker room.
Hendrickson and Stewart are going through separate contract issues with the front office.
"I think that's just in here," Taylor said, pointing at the media. "It's a lot of conversation it's an easy topic to hit for you all, it's newsworthy, certainly, but the guys that have been in the locker room, they just want to go take care of business and so it does not come up for us but I understand in these settings it's going to come up, but it has been nothing for us."
Cincinnati has a thin defensive end room to practice with in the meantime, with Myles Murphy, Joseph Ossai and Cam Sample leading the room to start training camp.
Stewart and Hendrickson did not report for the first day.
