Jalen Hurts is fresh off his Super Bowl MVP performance with the Philadelphia Eagles this past season, preparing for his sixth NFL campaign in 2025.

On Monday, Hurts took to social media to announce an exciting off-field project he's been working on. The 26-year-old quarterback is releasing a children's book titled "Better Than a Touchdown."

The book, which Hurts authored, will release in the spring of 2026.

"I am thrilled to announce my first children’s book, “BETTER THAN A TOUCHDOWN”!This has been a cherished dream of mine, and I hope it inspires young minds and readers of all ages to believe in themselves and never lose sight of their dreams. In stores March 10, 2026 and available for preorder today (link in bio)," Hurts wrote in a post on Instagram.

Fans flooded the comment section with reactions to this news. Even one of Hurts' former teammates, Zach Ertz, got in on the action.

"The boys need a copy," Ertz wrote.

Ertz and his wife Julie have three sons: Madden, Kace and Kyren.

Hurts and Ertz had just over one season of overlap as teammates in Philadelphia. Midway through Hurts' second season with the Eagles in 2021, the team traded Ertz to the Arizona Cardinals. This past season, Hurts and the Eagles took down Ertz and the Washington Commanders in the NFC Championship game.

Hurts and the Eagles will begin their Super Bowl title defense with a Week 1 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday, Sep. 4.
