1100-Game NHL Veteran Joins Montreal Canadiens Practice Alongside Ivan Demidov

Kris Letang has been a Penguin his whole career, and while that won't change anytime soon, he's now been seen skating with the rival Canadiens and Ivan Demidov.

Dating back to the late 2000's, Kris Letang has been a constant for the Pittsburgh Penguins, becoming a key piece of three Stanley Cup winning teams alongside Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin.

In recent years however, the Quebec native has taken a major step back, with many suggesting that if they could, the Penguins would likely trade the veteran defenseman, but given his physical state and his contract, no team around the league is ready to take him on.

Now, that speculation has potentially once more been sparked, as video has emerged of the veteran blue liner in his home of Quebec on the ice with the Montreal Canadiens and young, star forward Ivan Demidov.

In the off-season, many rival players workout and train together, while others bond on vacation or on the golf course, but given his connections to Quebec and the Canadiens, it's easy to see why this video has sparked plenty of speculation around the league.

More likely than not, this is simply a veteran just trying to stay in shape with an off-season workout on the ice, and being in his home of Quebec, working out with the Canadiens makes sense, with the veteran likely offering the young forward some advice.

Ultimately, Letang has been working hard this off-season to make one final push in his career for the Penguins, and while the links to the Canadiens likely won't go away, this is simply a veteran looking to stay in shape by working out with a team close to home.
