The Providence Bruins face the Charlotte Checkers this weekend for two games. The Maine Mariners will face the Adirondack Thunder for three games this weekend. In a chaotic day of moving around between all three levels of hockey, Colin Felix was reassigned to the Maine Mariners from the Providence Bruins. The Mariners got back Luke Cavallin yesterday with Simon Zajicek expected back for Providence. Cavallin got a win last night in his return to Maine stopping 30 of the 32 shots he faced and dominating in the shootout. Felix started the season with Providence but hasn’t seen much time playing in just 22 games. He had three assists and was a plus-one.

Felix spent four seasons at UMass before turning pro. In his final season, he was an Assistant Captain. Felix played in 140 collegiate games recording 42 points on four goals and 38 assists; he was a +27. He then joined the Flyers organization. Felix played in one game with the Phantoms in the AHL that season and didn’t record a point also finishing as a minus-one. The following season he played in 72 games with the Reading Royals in the ECHL. He had 27 points on eight goals and 19 assists; he was a +29. The next season he split time between the AHL and ECHL. He played in 23 games with the Utica Comets in the AHL. He had two assists and was even in plus/minus. In 41 games with the Adirondack Thunder, he had 18 points on five goals and 13 assists; he was a +22. Last season he played in 36 games for the Rockford IceHogs recording five points on a goal and four assists; he was a minus-ten.
