The Hamilton Hammers, according to Tony Androckitis of InsideAHLHockey, are signing goalie Ryan Fanti to an AHL contract for 2026-27. Fanti played 27 games for Syracuse last season, going 13-12-1 with a 2.41 goals-against average, a .905 save percentage, and two shutouts.

Before turning pro, Fanti played in 75 games in the NAHL with the Minnesota Wilderness, going 37-27-2 with five shutouts. He then went to the University of Minnesota-Duluth. Fanti played in 57 games with the Bulldogs. He went 31-19-6 with a .921 save percentage, a 2.02 goals-against average, and seven shutouts. He has gone on to appear in 43 AHL games between the Bakersfield Condors and the Syracuse Crunch, going 17-18-2 with a 2.56 goals-against average, a .905 save percentage, and two shutouts. Fanti has also appeared in 88 games in the ECHL between the Fort Wayne Komets and Orlando Solar Bears. He’s 42-35-6-2 with a .903 save percentage, a 3.02 goals-against average, and three shutouts. In ten Kelly Cup Playoff games, he’s gone 4-5-0 with a 1.61 goals-against average, a .950 save percentage, and two shutouts.
