The Hershey Bears this morning signed 24-year-old forward Luke Toporowski to an AHL contract for the 2025-26 season. This past season, the 5-11, 180 lb winger played in 53 games for the Iowa Wild, recording 28 points on 13 goals and 15 assists. He was a plus-eight, with two power-play goals, four game-winning goals, and 34 penalty minutes.

Luke Toporowski

Toporowski started in the Western Hockey League, where he spent three seasons with the Spokane Chiefs. In 190 games, he had 132 points on 60 goals and 72 assists. He was a +49 with 155 penalty minutes. He then played in the USHL in 2020-21 with the Sioux Falls Stampede. In 32 games, he had 33 points on 14 goals and 19 assists. He was a minus-five with 51 penalty minutes. He went back to the Chiefs for the rest of 2020-21 and a majority of 2021-22. In 33 games, he had 33 points on 16 goals and 17 assists. He was a minus-eight with 51 penalty minutes. He ended the 2021-22 season with the Kamloops Blazers in the WHL. In 22 games, he had 34 points on 20 goals and 14 assists. He was a +15 with 18 penalty minutes.

He joined the AHL in 2022-23. Toporowski spent his first two seasons with the Providence Bruins, where in 96 games he had 46 points on 22 goals and 24 assists. He was a plus-six with four power-play goals, four game-winning goals, and 65 penalty minutes. He ended the 2023-24 season with the Iowa Wild after starting it with Providence. In 17 games with the Wild, he had 11 points on five goals and six assists. He was a minus-six with three power-play goals and eight penalty minutes. In four Calder Cup Playoff games, he’s scored two goals. He’s a minus-one with a power-play goal.
