It was a busy day for the first day of Free Agency. One move on the day saw goalie Ivan Fedotov sign with Spartak Moskva in the KHL. He appeared in 47 games for the Cleveland Monsters last season, going 23-16-9 with a 2.87 goals-against average, an .887 save percentage, and two shutouts. He appeared in one game in the playoffs, where he suffered a loss, allowing four goals on six shots in a 4-1 loss to the Syracuse Crunch, which came in game two of their first-round series.

The Philadelphia Flyers drafted Fedotov 188th overall in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft. The 29-year-old netminder played in 44 games in the KHL before joining the Flyers. He went 21-22-1 with a 2.37 goals-against average, a .914 save percentage, and four shutouts. In five playoff games, he went 1-4-0 with a 2.57 goals-against average, a .916 save percentage, and a shutout. That same season, he appeared in three games for the Flyers, going 0-1-1 with a 4.95 goals-against average and an .811 save percentage. In 2024-25, he appeared in 26 games for Philadelphia, going 6-13-4 with a 3.15 goals-against average and a .880 save percentage. The Flyers traded him in September of 2025 to the Blue Jackets. In 29 NHL games, he finished 6-14-5 with a 3.29 goals-against average and an .874 save percentage.
