AHL: Springfield Thunderbirds Sign Parker Gahagen

There’s a report this morning that the Springfield Thunderbirds are signing an AHL deal with goalie Parker Gahagen. Tony Androckitis of InsideAHLHockey had the scoop. Gahagen spent last season with the Worcester Railers, who now serve as the Thunderbirds’ ECHL affiliate. Gahagen, in seven games with Bridgeport last season, went 2-5-0 with a 3.62 goals-against average and a .865 save percentage. He appeared in 37 games for Worcester. Gahagen posted a 20-11-4-1 record with a .916 save percentage, a 2.47 goals-against average, and two shutouts.

Gahagen went 20-11-5, 2.47 GAA, .916 SV%, 2 SO with ECHL-Worcester last year.

Gahagen spent four seasons at Army. He appeared in 110 games, going 40-49-16 with a 2.40 goals-against average, a .926 save percentage, and ten shutouts. He’s appeared in 59 career AHL games with six different teams. Gahagen is 26-21-6 with a 2.78 goals-against average, a .904 save percentage, and a shutout. In five Calder Cup Playoff games, he’s 3-1-0 with a 2.00 goals-against average and a .929 save percentage. Gahagen, in 161 career ECHL games, is 92-46-9-4 with a 2.37 goals-against average, a .920 save percentage, and 13 shutouts. In nine Kelly Cup Playoff games, he’s 3-5-1 with a 3.17 goals-against average and a .885 save percentage.
