Another Tough Break for Cody Glass; Predators Center Back on IR After Late Injury in Avalanche Game
USA TODAY Sports

While the Nashville Predators got a big win Monday night over the Colorado Avalanche, the team suffered another loss to injury. Center Cody Glass left the game after a collision with less than three minutes to go in the game. Today the Predators announced that Glass was placed on IR and is considered week-to-week with an upper body injury.

This is the second time so far this season that Glass has spent time on IR. He left the game against the New York Rangers on October 19 after his first shift and missed the next eight games with a lower body injury. Glass had just settled back in the lineup, returning on November 11 against the Arizona Coyotes and playing three games before being injured in Monday night's matchup against the Avalanche.

Glass's injuries have impacted his season stats. Last night he recorded his first point of the season in his nine games played, an assist on Filip Forsberg's first goal of the game. Glass was centering a line last night with Kiefer Sherwood and Juuso Pärssinen, stepping in for another injured Predators' center Tommy Novak who was placed on IR with an upper body injury November 14.

It remains to be seen how head coach Andrew Brunette will shuffle the lines and whether the Predators will opt to recall someone from Milwaukee for center depth. The Predators face off against the Calgary Flames tomorrow night at home and then travel to St. Louis to take on the Blues Friday afternoon.
