The New York Islanders traded Anthony Beauvillier to the Vancouver Canucks last January, and he’s on the move again less than a year later.
According to Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman, the Canucks are trading the former Islanders first-round pick to the Chicago Blackhawks.

The return for Vancouver in exchange for Beauvillier is a 2024 fifth-round draft pick.
Part of a package in the deal that brought Bo Horvat to Long Island, Beauvillier never found his footing in Vancouver.
In 55 games for the Canucks, Beauvillier tallied 28 points with 11 goals. He played much of this year on their fourth line.
An unrestricted free agent at the end of the year, Beauvillier has the chance to play out the rest of his contract in Chicago. The upstart Blackhawks already have a built-in spot for Beauvillier in their lineup after they terminated the contract of Corey Perry earlier on Tuesday.
