Anthony Cirelli Leaves Stadium Series Game

The Tampa Bay Lightning and Boston Bruins are facing off in the Stadium Series tonight. The game is currently in the third period with the game tied at 5-4 as Nikita Kucherov just scored to knot things up. Forward Anthony Cirelli sustained an upper-body injury and the Lightning ruled him out for the rest of tonight’s game. The Lightning are already down Brayden Point entering tonight’s game. Cirelli this season entering tonight in 48 games has 35 points on 15 goals and 20 assists. He’s a +29 with three power play goals and three game-winning goals. Cirelli plays on the top line with Brandon Hagel and Nikita Kucherov. He missed some time this season already with an upper-body injury.

Anthony Cirelli

The Tampa Bay Lightning drafted Cirelli 72nd overall in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft. He has spent nine seasons with the Lightning. Cirelli has appeared in 559 games recording 327 points on 139 goals and 188 assists. He’s a career +153 with 15 power play goals, 17 shorthanded goals, and 24 game-winning goals. He has finished as high as third in Selke Trophy voting which came last season. It was the third time in his career finishing in the top five. Cirelli has won two Stanley Cups with the Lightning. In 108 playoff games, he has 43 points on 18 goals and 25 assists. He’s a minus-five with a shorthanded goal and two game-winning goals.
