
Reigning Kelly Cup Champion Florida Everblades are losing their top goal scorer, as forward Anthony Romano is heading to the DEL to play with Löwen Frankfurt. Romano appeared in 64 games for Florida this season, recording 62 points on 26 goals and 36 assists. He led Florida in goals and was 20th in the ECHL, and he was tied for 15th in points. Romano was a +27 with eight power-play goals and three shorthanded goals. In the Kelly Cup Playoffs, he had 17 points on 12 goals and five assists. He was a plus-five with three power-play goals. He led the league in playoff goals and tied for third in points. Romano played in two games for the Springfield Thunderbirds but did not record any points and finished with an even plus/minus rating.

Romano attended Clarkson University, where in five seasons he appeared in 138 games, recording 92 points on 49 goals and 43 assists; he was a plus-nine. Following Clarkson, he spent two seasons with the Texas Stars, where in 46 games he had nine points on three goals and six assists; he was a minus-seven. He has appeared in 11 Calder Cup Playoff games, recording no points and finishing with a minus-seven rating.
