 Barrett Hayton Injured, Out Week-to-Week
Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

The Arizona Coyotes have announced that center Barrett Hayton is out “week-to-week” with an upper-body injury.

In the 3-2 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets last night, Hayton was holding one of his wrists before heading to locker-room and did not return.

Just before he exited the game, Hayton scored the first goal for the Coyotes in the second period in Columbus.

Now, Hayton join’s a list of two other players who are out week-to-week.

Currently, center Jack McBain (lower body) and defensemen Travis Dermott (upper body) will be out of action for the foreseeable future.

Also, ‘Yotes defenseman Juuso Välimäki (upper body) is injured, but it is unknown what the timetable of Välimäki’s situation is or the severity of it, at the time of reporting.

This is a huge blow to the Coyotes lineup as Hayton was both the first line and top power-play unit’s center.

So far this season, Barrett Hayton has two goals and two assists in 16 games.

Because of this, Tucson Roadrunners forward Jan Jeník has been called up to the NHL.
