Pat Maroon retired from the NHL in March, and he has landed an intriguing new role.
The Stanley Cup playoffs are heating up, and while beloved veteran Pat Maroon won't be featured on the ice, that doesn't mean we won't be seeing him during the postseason.
Following a great and successful career, the three-time Stanley Cup winner announced his retirement at the conclusion of the 2024-25 campaign.
Maroon was last seeing firing up the crowd in St. Louis ahead of a Round 1 matchup against the Winnipeg Jets.
It isn't a full-time role yet, but he has the natural charisma and the knowledge to be a fantastic personality on the air.
At this point, however, it's just temporary, but if this goes well in the postseason, perhaps Maroon could get a full-time role covering the NHL in the near future.
