The Chicago Blackhawks have a new forward joining the mix. On Friday, the Hawks activated Jason Dickinson from the non-roster list and assigned Buddy Robinson to the AHL Rockford IceHogs.

Dickinson missed the Blackhawks' first two games of the season due to visa issues. Chicago acquired him in a trade last Friday that sent defenseman Riley Stillman to the Vancouver Canucks.

The 27-year-old center has 74 points (30 goals, 44 assists) in 283 NHL games across parts of seven seasons with the Dallas Stars and Canucks. He posted 11 points (five goals, six assists) in 62 games with Vancouver last season.

To make room for Jason Dickinson on the roster, Buddy Robinson heads to Rockford. Robinson cleared waivers on Oct. 10 but remained with the Chicago Blackhawks to begin the season. He played Wednesday against Colorado and had three hits in 11:03 of ice time.
