Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Seth Jones is reportedly heading to injured reserve. According to Ben Pope of the Chicago Sun-Times, Jones suffered a right foot injury blocking a shot in Thursday's 3-1 loss to the Seattle Kraken.
Jones finished the Seattle game but suffered the injury on a blocked shot earlier on. They’ll find out more when they get back home tomorrow.

As mentioned by Pope, Jones remained in the game, and his injury status was unknown until he missed Saturday's morning skate. The veteran defenseman has been a staple on the Blackhawks blueline this season, averaging 25:43 of ice time per game, now leaving the Blackhawks with a gaping hole in their lineup as they head into Saturday night's tilt with the Vancouver Canucks.
Several other notable lineup changes were announced alongside the unfortunate news regarding Seth Jones. Arvid Soderblom will get the start in net for the Blackhawks in Vancouver while Illya Mikheyev will draw into the lineup for Taylor Hall, a healthy scratch.
