NHL insider Elliotte Friedman shared some insight on the Chicago Blackhawks' stance defenseman Seth Jones, and it appears that they are unhappy.
Just over one week ago, Blackhawks defenseman Seth Jones confirmed that the Blackhawks are trading him, and since then the rumors have picked up on the trade front.
Friedman has revealed that the Blackhawks do not want future assets including draft picks or prospects, but they want assets that will help the team right now.
Alongside that revelation by Friedman, he also made it clear that the Blackhawks are unhappy with how Seth Jones handled the once-private trade talks, as he basically went public with it.
Jones did stick it right to the media, and revealed that he would love a change of scenery.
Jones releasing that statement caught the attention of the entire NHL, and seemingly so general managers, and now his trade value may have decreased.
It will be interesting to see how the Blackhawks handle these trade talks involving Jones, with such short time until the March 7 NHL trade deadline.
