The Chicago Blackhawks assigned defenseman Filip Roos to the Rockford IceHogs on Tuesday.

The 23-year-old began the 2022-23 season on the Hawks' roster and made his NHL debut on opening night. In 15 games, Roos has three points (one goal, two assists) while averaging 16:19 of ice time.

Filip Roos, a 6-foot-4 blue liner, will now take his talents to Rockford to further refine his game at the AHL level. The IceHogs look to get back on track when they visit the Iowa Wild on Tuesday.

As for the Blackhawks, Roos' assignment likely means Caleb Jones is likely nearing a return to game action. Jones has missed the Hawks' last two games due to hip tightness.

The Chicago Blackhawks will be back in action Tuesday when the Washington Capitals come to town. Puck drop is at 8 PM CT and the game will air on ESPN.
