The 21-year-old right wing scored 53 points in 93 games during his time at Notre Dame.
The Chicago Blackhawks officially brought another forward into their prospect pool on Monday, signing Ryder Rolston to an entry-level deal. His three-year contract carries an $895K salary cap hit and runs through the 2025-26 season.
The Blackhawks acquired the rights to Rolston in a 2021 trade that sent Carl Soderberg to the Colorado Avalanche. The 21-year-old forward played his college hockey at Notre Dame, where he posted 53 points (18 goals, 35 assists) in 93 games across three seasons.
Rolston is coming off an abbreviated 2022-23 campaign due to a broken collarbone. Prior to the injury, he recorded 20 points (seven goals, 13 assists) in 27 games for the Irish.
Ryder Rolston will report to the Rockford IceHogs, the Chicago Blackhawks' AHL affiliate.
