Blues GM ripped into Zamboni crew in Boston ahead of Game 7

Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final between the St. Louis Blues and Boston Bruins should feature plenty of chippy play given the enormous stakes, and it appears tempers were already flaring hours before the puck dropped.

According to several reports, Blues GM Doug Armstrong laid into the ice crew at TD Garden in Boston on Monday afternoon. He apparently felt that the workers were not going to have the ice ready in time for his team’s practice, and he was livid about it.

Armstrong must have quickly been reminded that he was in Boston with one of the responses he got.

Fortunately, the Blues were able to get their skating in. The situation was resolved and Armstrong may have realized he overreacted a bit.

This isn’t the first time during the playoffs that we have seen that type of fiery attitude from Armstrong, as he also unloaded on the officiating crew after a Western Conference Final game. Apparently he’s a guy you don’t want to cross.
